Air-entraining compounds

Air-entraining compounds

Air-entraining compounds are either mixtures of several active ingredients to optimize the air void structure, mixtures including anticaking agents for improved storability, or mixtures with special fillers to reduce the dust load. Air-entraining compounds are available in a large number of combinations – this is why they are always custom-tuned to customer requirements.

Berolan LP 50
Application
CE-Nr.: 1139-CPD-0802/09

Berolan LP 50 is a strongly surface-active air-entraining admixture and plasticizer. It has been developed especially for use in mortars based on gypsum, lime, or cement. It leads to a better plaster yield, to improved workability, and improves the wetting of the mortar. It decreases the wear of mixing units, the tendency to lumping, and the shrinkage. Irritation of the respiratory organs has been minimized.

CE-Nr.: 1139-CPD-0802/09

Berolan LP 70 is a strongly surface-active air-entraining admixture and plasticizer. It has been developed especially for use in mortars based on cement, gypsum or lime. It leads to a better plaster yield, to improved workability and improves the wetting of the mortar. Related to the longer open timea tearing of the plaster surface and skin formation will be reduced. It decreases the wear of mixing units, the tendency to lumping, and the shrinkage. Irritation of the respiratory organs has been minimized.

Berolan LP 80

Application

Berolan LP 80 is a strongly surface-active air-entraining admixture and plasticizer. It is used as an air-entrainer for various cement-based systems, specially qualified for renovation render. Berolan LP-80 may be added as delivered. The required dosage may vary over a wide range (0.05 to 0.5 %) and should therefore be evaluated in suitable tests. For first trials we recommend 0.2 % Berolan LP 80 referred to dry substrate.

Berolan LP 700

Application

The product Berolan LP 700 is a compound of starch-ether and a tenside (sodiumlaurylsulfate). The clay quotient in the binder agent is influenced to create clumps in the gypsum-bonded plasters. Berolan LP 700 reduces this effect of creating clumps in the plaster. That means if the nodule quantity in the plaster is increased Berolan LP 700 will also be increased. For the first tests we recommended 0.03 % Berolan LP 700 based on the dry mortar. The optimal dosage is to calculate by forgoing tests.

Berolan HS 30

Application
CE-Nr.: 1139-CPD-0802/09

Berolan HS 30 is a strongly surface-active air-entraining admixture and plasticizer. It has been developed especially for use in mortars based on cement, gypsum or lime. It leads to a better plaster yield, to improved workability and improves the wetting of the mortar. It decreases the wear of mixing units, the tendency to lumping, and the shrinkage.

Berolan Micropor 50

Application

Berolan Micropor 50 is a surfactant mixture for the Generation of air pores in concrete, mortar and cement based artificial bricks. It is used as an air-entrainer for various cement-based and gypsum-based systems. Berolan Micropor 50 is characterized by particularly stable and very fine air pores. The product is therefore particularly suitable for the production of light plasters, light-weight mortars, restoration plasters and dry concrete. Due to the microporous structure, however, post processing is also significantly improved in the case of cement and gypsum plasters. This can be seen by lighter felting and smoothing. Berolan Micropor 50 improves workability and the wetting of the mortar. Berolan Micropor 50 is characterized by the microporous structure. A very high and stable air pore content can be achieved which is particularly desired in light mortar. The surfactant mix makes the product very stable and universally applicable.

Berolan CO 5

Application
CE-Nr.: 1139-CPD-0802/09

Berolan CO 5 a mixture of cellulose ether, air entraining agent, hydrophobic agent, calcium carbonatefiller and expanded glass granulate Berolan CO 5 is a compound for use in renovation mortar. All required additives for air entraining, water retention and hydrophobizing are combined. The optimal dosage should be determined by preliminary tests. For first tests we advise a dosage of 4 % Berolan CO 5 on dry mortar.

Berolan CLD 25
Application

Berolan CLD 25 is a low-dust air entraining compound and plasticizer which is used in different formulations for building materials based on gypsum, cement or lime. Necessary dosage to obtain specified air content depends on binder type, mixer type, w/c ratio, aggregate grading and fines.

Berolan LP W17
Application

Berolan LP-W17 is a surfactant mix. The proven raw materials lauryl sulfate and olefinsultonate are used as the basis. The special mix leads to a significant increase in performance. The formed air pores are characterized by a very stable structure. The air pore content is therefore only slightly affected in the plastering machine. The proportion of coarse pores is significantly reduced. Berolan LP-W17 is ideal for binder systems such as gypsum, plaster/lime and cement. The product improves the sag resistance of the plaster and the fertility. In particular, the workability of plasters during felting and smoothing is significantly improved. Berolan LP-W17 significantly reduces the formation of cracks and it has a very high proportion of active ingredients and is therefore verry efficient to use.

BeroPore 30

Application

BeroPore 30 is a surfactant mix. As basis the proven raw materials lauryl sulfate and olefinsultonate are in use. The special mix with additional additives such as foam boosters and foam stabilizers leads to asignificant increase in performance. The air pores are characterized by a very fine and very stable structure. The air pore content is therefore only slightly affected in the plastering machine. The proportion of coarse pores is significantly reduced. BeroPore 30 is ideally suited for binder systems such as gypsum, plaster/lime and cement. BeroPore 30 improves the sag resistance of the plaster and the fertility. In particular, the workability of plasters during felting and smoothing is significantly improved. Bubble formation in the surface is reduced.

BeroPore 50

Application

BeroPore 50 is a high-quality surfactant mix. The product is ideally suited for binder systems such as pure gypsum (neutral, pH 7) and gypsum/lime. It can also be used in cementitious Systems. The special mix leads to a significant increase in Performance and the proportion of coarse pores is significantly reduced. BeroPore 50 improves the workability of plasters, especially in the finishing phase during felting and smoothing. The formation of bubbles on the surface is reduced. BeroPore 50 improves workability through a significantly creamier Consistency with the same spread. The yield is significantly improved by the unerring air entrainment. Very rapid wetting reduces the entry of coarse air pores and reduces the formation of nodules (dry spots/knots).

Beropur

Application

Beropur is a compound of a starch ether and a surfactant. The active substance contents are deliberately reduced to allow a workable dosage. Beropur is used as a wetting agent and stabilizer in gypsum-bonded plasters.
