Additives for concrete

Additives for concrete

The additives specifically developed for use in concrete include air-entraining agents, stabilizers, and superplasticizers. For example, they create a concrete matrix that is resistant to frost and de-icing salt, increase flowability in fresh concrete, improve workability, and reduce concrete bleeding without affecting the air content, and generally create a very stable system. Our polycarboxylate-based superplasticizers are high-performance superplasticizers that achieve a significant water reduction and at the same time maintain a very good consistency. All these products can be combined as desired.

Additives for concrete

Berolan LPC-1

Application

Berolan LPC-1 is a coated air entrainer based on modified resin soap, with improved handling properties, low caking and moisture sensibility. Berolan LPC-1 is especially optimized for the incorporation of micro air pores into hydraulic hardening dry mortar systems like:
– Cementitious tile adhesives and joint grouts
– Renders
– EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems)
– Thin set floor tile adhesives
– Masonry mortars
– Repair mortars
– Concrete
Berolan LPC-1 shows an excellent stable behaviour and a high processing security. The content of air is much less influenced by mixing time and dosage, compared to synthetic air entrainers. Dosage recommendation: 0.01 – 0.05 % on dry mortar.

Berolan LPC-908

Application
CE-Nr.: 1139-CPD-0802/09

Berolan LPC 908 is an air entraining agent for use in concrete. The active agent concentration was chosen low consciously to permit a practicable dosing. The air entraining admixture was specially developed for use in dry concrete. It effects a frost resistant and frost and de-icing salt resistant concrete matrix by adoption of micro air pores. The small-sized spherical pores supersede the fine grain particles. They raise the slipping effect in the fresh concrete and cause an improvement of working and compaction when fitting the concrete. By preliminary tests the required dosage should be detected, because air pore formation is dependent on several factors (concrete composition, cement grade, fresh concrete consistency, temperature, mixing time and others). The air entraining admixture should be intermixed homogeneously in the dry concrete. The mixing time of the fresh concrete in the compulsory mixer should not be less than 60 seconds. The formation of air pores in concrete with very low consistency is very hindered. Suitability tests should be run, because raising air contents cause decreasing strengths. While fitting the concrete, tests of air content should be done at regular intervals by trained personal. Adaptations of the dosage on actual conditions may be necessarily. The regional prevailing technical rules and standards about concrete and air entrained concrete should be considered.

Berolan ST-100

Application
CE-Nr.: 1139-CPD-0802/09

Berolan ST 100 was designed as additive for use in concrete. The active agent concentration was chosen consciously low to permit a practicable dosing. The special for use in dry concrete developed stabilizer causes a reduction of segregation without rising the air content. Berolan ST 100 reduces the rebound and the dust loading while production of shot concrete. By preliminary tests the required dosage should be detected, because the effect may be dependent on several factors (concrete composition, cement grade, fresh concrete consistency, temperature, mixing time and others). The stabilizer should be intermixed homogeneously in the dry concrete previous to the addition of water. The mixing time of the fresh concrete in the compulsory mixer should not be less than 60 seconds. Qualification tests should be run, because raising stabilizer contents cause decreasing strengths. While fitting the concrete, tests of the consistence should be done at regular intervals by trained personal. Adaptations of the dosage on actual conditions may be necessarily. The regional prevailing technical rules and standards about concrete should be considered.

BeroSTAB 100

Produktbeschreibung

BeroSTAB 100 is a stabilizer for flowable cementitious mortars and concretes. BeroSTAB 100 is especially optimized for the liquefaction and stabilization of self leveling compounds, flow screeds, injection mortars and underwater concrete. The product provides rapid liquefaction with good workability time. The mortar produced is characterized by a very stable system. BeroSTAB 100 can also be used to make underwater concrete. BeroSTAB 100 prevents segregation of fresh concrete in direct contact with water. The concrete can therefore fall freely and unprotected by the water during Installation.
