A large number of other certified Berolan products such as defoamers, retarders, accelerators, stabilizers, plasticizers, and various compounds serve primarily as workability-enhancing additives. They improve the workability, durability and yield of gypsum and cement plasters, reduce the likelihood of cracking in surfaces, decrease adhesiveness to tools, and enable the precise definition of processing times such as pot lives and open times. Wetting agents also help reduce mixing times. Furthermore, clumping in gypsum plasters can be significantly reduced.

Beroplus

Application

Beroplus improves the workability of gypsum-based plasters during the finishing phase (seconds smoothing procedure) by enhancing the felting. In adhesive mortars and base-coat mortars for ETICS it reduces the tendency to crack formation and the skin formation. It prolongs the open time. Beroplus does not entrain air.

Beroplus N1

Application

Beroplus N1 improves the workability of gypsum-based plasters, especially in post-processing during felting and smoothing (second smoothing procedure) through extended workability and a significantly creamier consistency. Beroplus N1 helps to reduce cracks in the Surface of cement plasters and improves the stability of the plaster and the yield. Beroplus N1 introduces a low air Content into the System and ensures a very fine and stable pore structure. The susceptibility to cracking is reduced in adhesives and base-coat mortars for ETICS. It also reduces the skin formation and prolongs the open time. Beroplus N1 is used for dry gypsum and cement based plaster and adhesives like gypsum jointing and smoothing compounds, all kind of base and top coat plasters and renders, no matter hand or machine applied!

Berolan ST-QX 1

Application

Berolan ST-QX 1 is a swelling agent mixture based on wheat starch. It is a specially treated starch which is characterised by a special swelling behaviour and is therefore suitable as a viscosity regulator. Berolan ST-QX 1 is not a starch ether and therefore the mode of action is clearly different. A high swelling behaviour is associated with a low stickiness on the tool. Berolan ST-QX 1 brings only a slight improvement of the durability/anti sagging. Berolan ST-QX 1 improves the workability of gypsum and cement plasters, especially in the finishing process during felting and smoothing, due to a considerably extended workability and a much creamier consistency. The spraying on and pulling off by means of levelling boards are considerably facilitated. Berolan ST-QX 1 is ideally suited for gypsum plasters, cement plasters, attachment binders, filler compounds, ETICS adhesives and jointing compounds. The open time is prolonged and a spackling of joints is made considerably easier. Due to the additional high adhesive strength on the substrate, organic binders (such as dispersion powder) can be easily reduced. Berolan ST-QX 1 can also be used as a stabilizer in cement suspensions and injection mortars to prevent water from settling without losing consistency.

Berolan DF 100

Application

Berolan DF 100 is a mixture of surface active and mineral substances, free of silicones. It is a highly effective defoamer or air release agent particularly suitable for use in powder based emulsion paints and similar formulations. It can be mixed with all other powder components without any problem. Berolan DF 100 has yielded particularly good results in the manufacturing of powder based levelling compounds and mortars as well as plasters based on cement. In these cases the use of Berolan DF 100 ensures a fast escape of air entrapped while incorporating water. The resulting mortars have a smaller content of air pores and show a smooth and bubble-free flow.The optimum quantity required should be determined by carrying out appropriate tests. Normally used are between 0.1 and 1 % Berolan DF 100, calculated on to total formulation.

Berolan DF 200

Application

Berolan DF 200 is a mixture of surface-active and mineral substances and contains no silicones. Berolan DF 200 is a highly effective defoamer or deaerator and is particularly suitable for use in powdered formulations. Berolan DF 200 can be easily mixed with all powdered components. Composition: Fatty alcohol polyether, dispersing agent, carrier material. Berolan DF 200 has proven particularly successful in the production of powdered mortar and soil balance compounds based on cement and gypsum. The use of Berolan DF 200 in these cases causes a rapid escape of the air introduced by stirring with water. This results in putties with a low air entrainment and a smooth and bubble-free course. Very important is the extremely strong wetting effect of Berolan DF 200. The wetting of the raw materials is accelerated and supports the lump-free mixing of the mix. Due to this property, Berolan DF 200 can also be used as a wetting agent in other applications. Especially in the area of gypsum applications. Combinations with air entraining agents are possible without any problems!

Berolan DF 300

Application

Berolan DF 300 is a mixture of special assorted aliphatic compounds and inorganic carrier and contains no silicones. Berolan DF 300 is free of phosphorus compounds. Berolan DF 300 is a highly effective defoamer or deaerator and is characterized by immediate and lasting foam control. Berolan DF 300 can be easily mixed with all powdered components. Berolan DF 300 has proven particularly successful in the production of powdered mortars based on cement and gypsum. Berolan DF 300 produces products with a low air entrainment and smooth and bubble-free surfaces.

Beroflow F90

Application

Beroflow F90 is a high-performance superplasticizer based on a spray-dried polycarboxylate ether. It is specially optimized for plasticizing and water reduction of cement- and anhydrite-based building materials and ensures quick wetting behavior. Beroflow F90 is a superplasticizer based on the latest polymer technology. This product enables extreme water reduction, excellent flowability, optimum cohesion and promotes excellent self-compaction behaviour. Beroflow F90 is a unique specially formulated polycarboxylate powder that combines various mechanisms and is compatible with a wide variety of cements. It is characterized by a very good consistency retention and is particularly suitable for the production of dry concrete, levelling compounds, grouting mortar, injection mortar and flowing screed. Beroflow F90 offers rapid liquefaction with a continuous processing time. The produced mortar is characterized by a very stable system.

Berolan VZ-1

Application

Highly effective retarder compound for the production of building materials on basis of binder-based plaster, Portland cement, aluminous cement, fly ash, blast furnace slag, Sulfoaluminatcement, sulphate slag cement or mixtures of them. Especially recommended for gypsum based products (leveling screeds, leveling compound materials, gypsum plasters, wall putties, etc.), as well as quick-setting cement systems (Rapid screed, quick plasters, flow putties, grouts, repair compounds, quick concrete, sprayed concretes, etc.) of various kinds. Berolan VZ-1 is distinguished in comparison to conventional retarder with its minimal effects on the strength development of the formulations. As delay component in dry mortars, wet mortars, concretes, binder mixtures, etc. Possible by retarding effect selective adjustment of defined processing times, pot lives, open times. Optimal delay effect by combination with standard retarders such as tartaric acid, citric acid, etc.

Berolan RT-5

Application

Berolan RT-5 is a highly effective retarder compound for the production of building materials. The product is based on a mixture of fruit acid derivatives and anti-caking agents. Berolan RT-5 is characterized by its low influence on the strength development of the formulations compared to conventional retarders. The retarding effect can be set very targeted. Precisely defined processing times, pot lives and open times are possible. Long delay times can be set. Berolan RT-5 is especially recommended for: Rapid cement systems such as quick screeds, quick plasters, smoothing compounds, repair compounds, quick setting concretes, shotcretes, etc. Berolan RT-5 can also be used in any form of gypsum-bound systems.

BeroCel 102

Application

BeroCel 102 is a ready-to-use methylcellulose compound for the preparation of plaster and mortar. It can be used in hand applied plasters and also for machine applied plasters. The compound is based on HPMC 40.000, starch ethers, air entrainers and special workability aids. The product is ideal for binder systems such as gypsum, gypsum/lime and cement. BeroCel 102 offers a very high water retention, very good sag resistance and an optimum air Content with very high workability. Through targeted selection of raw materials a constant performance both at high and low temperature is ensured. Especially the water retention remains very stable!
